AVA Connect Conversation – January 24, 2024
Good afternoon.
AVA held our first AVA Connect Conversation of 2024 yesterday. The conversation included 31 VAWA Administrators and the interaction and participation was incredible.
During the meeting, AVA promised to send out some information discussed, specific to the following two topics:
- Prosecutor Certification– Please find attached the slides that AVA Board member, Tierra Williams spoke about during her comments as it relates to training that AEquitas provided to Virginia. As you review the slides, you will see the contact information (last slide on three of the four PP’s) for John Wilkinson, AEquitas Attorney Advisor should you want to reach out to him/AEquitas.
There are four PowerPoints attached relating to the AEquitas trainings. - Annual Progress Report– You will also find attached the annual progress reporting form that AVA Board member, Moriah Pease discussed during our conversation and we promised to make available to you. During our conversation, several administrators expressed the desire for a summary of what the new reporting requirements include. This attachment should prove helpful as Moriah has highlighted the changes in the new report, in yellow. This is the last of the five attachments.
